Check out the Memory poster that YOU helped choose!

At Legion M, we're always looking for innovative ways to leverage the insights and wisdom of our community. Earlier this year, we leaned on your insights through our “Film Scout” program to buy MEMORY: THE ORIGINS OF ALIEN at the Sundance film festival. Then, we enlisted your help selecting the poster from a variety of options. Now, thanks to the wisdom of the crowd (our Legion M community), we’re excited to reveal the official poster for the film we acquired at Sundance, Memory: The Origins of Alien.

Directed by Alexandre O. Philippe ("Doc of the Dead" and "The People vs. George Lucas"), the documentary takes fans on an exploration of the mythical underpinnings of "Alien," which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, supported by exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, unearthing the largely untold origin story behind Ridley Scott's cinematic masterpiece, and reveals a treasure trove of never-before-seen materials from the archives of "Alien" creators Dan O'Bannon and H.R. Giger - including original story notes, rejected designs and storyboards, and O’Bannon’s original 29 page script from 1971, titled "Memory." The documentary dedicates focus on the film’s iconic “Chestburster” scene. Check out the official trailer of the film below!

Legion M, along with its distribution partner Screen Media, acquired "Memory: The Origins of Alien" out of last January's Sundance Film Festival, becoming the first fan-owned company to ever acquire a film out of Sundance based on the input of fans. The movie poster vote demonstrated Legion M's dedication to tap the power of fandom to change the way entertainment is made and created in Hollywood.
