Legion M’s SCOUT Team Played Integral Role in Our Acquisition of Sundance Hit Documentary MEMORY: THE ORIGINS OF ALIEN

Armed with tremendously valuable insight and data from the Legion M SCOUT Platform, Legion M has officially acquired the Sundance hit documentary MEMORY: THE ORIGINS OF ALIEN!
We couldn’t be more excited to announce that we have teamed up with Screen Media to acquire all North American rights to Alexandre O. Philippe’s fascinating documentary feature film Memory: The Origins of Alien, which premiered to rave reviews in the Midnight Section at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival! We’re planning to release the film in theaters later this summer, perfectly timed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the theatrical release of Alien!
What makes this acquisition so extraordinary is that it was directly driven by our amazing community of film fans who came to Park City or signed on during Sundance to be a Legion M Film Scout on our innovative SCOUT platform! With over 40,000 votes on over 117 films, we successfully leveraged the wisdom of the Legion to bring Memory: The Origins of Alien into our project portfolio.
We’re so enthusiastic to share the documentary with everyone in our community as well as the entire Alien fandom across North America. Memory: The Origins of Alien is a must-see film for fans of the epic sci-fi classic, taking viewers on an exploration of the mythical underpinnings of Alien, supported by exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and in depth research behind the science and art of the alien creature itself. The film also dedicates focus on the film’s iconic and seminal “Chestbuster” scene. Memory will resonate well beyond Alien fandom, and viewers who haven’t seen the original film will likely want to binge the entire franchise after seeing this doc!
