Legion Insider #048

Steve Ritchie is a Legion M investor who worked on Marvel's Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings as Locations Department Crew for the San Francisco unit. The Locations Crew consisted of over 50 people who kept the public safe during the complex stunt sequences. The epic bus crash scene shown above was filmed using real live stunt vehicles in Ghirardelli Square!

Development Diaries

The latest updates on Legion M's projects in development!

Calculated Sequels

Momentum is building for Calculated, the YA series based on the novels by Nova McBee and produced by our partners at OneDoor Studios. You may remember a recent update revealing Ann Peacock (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe) has attached to write the screenplay for the first film in the series. The team at OneDoor have recently launched their campaign for the Calculated Sequels on Wefunder, opening with a smashing $500k, which has grown to over $850k in the short time the campaign has been live. If you are an investor in Legion M, you already own a small stake in the Calculated Sequels. However, if you would like to invest directly in the sequels, check out the terms on OneDoor's Wefunder page.

New Project: Tales Of The Moonlight Cutter

Legion M is excited to announce another Project in Development. Based on the epic comic series by Dale W. Berry, this is the tale of Shen Hua Yen, better known as the Moonlight Cutter due to his unmatched sword skills and the terrifying sword he wields. This series follows the saga of how the Moonlight Cutter and a young woman — his descendant and the heir to the mystic blade — together strive to save the world from the netherworld’s darkest evils across the centuries, from ancient China to the turn-of-the-century American frontier and finally, in the weird unseen shadows of modern day San Francisco. New York Times bestselling author Jeff Yang (Rise: A Pop History of Asian America from the Nineties to Now, Secret Identities, Shattered) has attached as Showrunner, and David Uslan (Constantine) has signed on to produce alongside Legion M.

That’s A Wrap On Nandor Fodor & The Talking Mongoose!

Congratulations to our fantastic cast and crew on all of your hard work. We loved hosting some of our investors on set (and as extras in the film!). We’ve been able to get a sneak peek at some of the footage and it looks absolutely incredible.

This Is Not Financial Advice

ICYMI, Legion M has signed on to Executive Produce a new documentary from Optimist, This Is Not Financial Advice. The documentary follows 4 individuals (including the notorious Dogecoin millionaire “Pro”) as they navigate the ever-evolving and volatile world of crypto, stocks, real estate, and investment - presenting a fascinating peek into the psychology of a new generation of investors powered by the internet and social media.

Legion Of Comedy

Now is your chance to tell us who you’d like to see host this comedy project that we’re developing with National Lampoon. We’re actively reaching out to comedy reps as we start to package this project, so please keep your terrific ideas coming. Thank you to everyone who has already submitted ideas!
