A week ago today, Legion M was invited to the red carpet premiere of Jay & Silent Bob Reboot on October 14th. We gave away eight pairs of our tickets to our Legion M investors to attend the red carpet, the screening itself, and the after party. Take a look at what some of them had to say about the experience!

Having this opportunity to attend the Jay & Silent Bob Reboot premiere was nothing short of an amazing experience.

Coming from Louisville, Kentucky, this trip was filled with firsts for me: first time in California, first time attending a premiere, first time even meeting a celebrity! Seeing many of the film’s stars in the seats was impressive, and showed how much the Viewaskewverse is like a family.

Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes gave a fantastic intro to the film. Once the movie started, the audience was lively with boisterous laughter and applause when favorites appeared on screen. It felt like watching a movie with friends — lots and lots of friends — all bound together by the comedy and heart of Jay & Silent Bob. Attending the afterparty was just the icing on the cake.

I am so grateful to Legion M for providing this remarkable encounter!

My friend Amy and I went to LA Comic Con on Sunday and went by the Legion M booth… got a couple of Chronic Con lanyards (which were way cooler after seeing the movie) and got super hyped for Monday night!

When we got to the theater and saw the crowded lobby, we knew we were in the right place. The screening experience was surreal. Seeing a movie with the cast and crew who worked on it is definitely a step above any other movie-going experience. This movie in particular – it has a lot of meta, a lot of commentary on the filmmaking process in Hollywood, and to see it in Hollywood, amongst that group of filmmakers… that just takes the whole thing to another level.

Smith gave a 20 minute speech pre-screening, which was very cool. I got most of it on video. He remarked on how getting his hands in cement that morning was the pinnacle of his life… and it got me reflecting that a kid from Jersey, shooting movies on a shoestring with his friends, over the weekends, had come all the way to getting his hands in cement outside the Chinese as a part of filmmaking history. If that’s not the American dream, I don’t know what is.

I was happy for Kevin Smith, and I was happy for the opportunity that Legion M provides to be a part of the filmmaking process.

Amy is an industry professional on the technical side… so we have a lot of conversations about the industry and about LA in general. We talk about how we each deal with being starstruck… and in that room, everywhere you looked was somebody to potentially get starstruck over. She pointed out that we’d just walked past Keith Coogan. The picture of the seats was taken as Tommy Chong walked past me. She pointed out Edward Furlong. Sofia Vergara. Joe Mangianello. Just a roomful of cool.

After the film, we bumped into Jason Mewes on the way out. He and I bumped fists. I congratulated him on how effective the sincerity in his performance was. Really nice guy!

We both wanted to go to the afterparty, but the screening didn’t get out until 10:30, and I still had a drive back to Bakersfield. Paul from Legion M called me to ask if we were coming, and I hope I was gracious in my declination. I was happy to be short on sleep the next day, but pushing to an afterparty would have made driving the Grapevine dangerous. C’est La Vie.
Hopefully, if there’s a next time, I’ll be able to grab a hotel and not have to drive back.

It’s been a big month for Legion M, and I’m excited to have been a part of it. Looking forward to more, and to the potential of increasing my stake with each fundraising round!

Thank you again for the tickets to the screening. We had a great time, and the screening experience was amazing.

I’ve always been a big fan of Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes. Through Legion M, I had the amazing opportunity to attend the premiere of “Jay and Silent Bob Reboot”. I couldn’t be more grateful.

It was a great night, and to be able to meet the team behind Legion M, along with other investors and members, was a wonderful experience. I got a chance to feel more connected to Legion M and to meet other members!

The whole team at Legion M truly shined through with exactly what Legion M is all about. Being front and center the entire night at the red carpet premiere was amazing. Not to mention the film was amazing and Ben Affleck was like right behind me. That’s pretty awesome.

The opportunity we were given by Legion M to be at the Jay & Silent Bob Reboot Premiere was the most amazing feeling ever. From the first step into the TCL Chinese theater off of Hollywood Blvd until the end credits, we were part of something bigger than ourselves. Everyone was so humble and respectful... the feeling can only be described as pure joy. My husband’s favorite moment was meeting Shannon Elizabeth (he is a Shanon, too!). Mine was talking to people like Ralph Garman who, normally, are surrounded by many fans. Nobody had a bad moment and everyone treated us as peers. We could not thank Legion M enough for truly making us feel like family! That is how all companies should model their businesses!
