TOLKIEN “One Meetup To Rule Them All” CONTEST RULES
OFFICIAL RULES:
Entry is limited to official TOLKIEN theatrical meetup hosts and attendees who are registered via Legion M’s official Meetup Maker platform at https://legionm.com/tolkien-meetups to host or attend a meetup that takes place during Tolkien’s opening weekend, starting on Thursday, May 9 and ending on Sunday May 12, 2019, and who submits a valid entry.
Entrants must be legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older and who have lawful access to any of the method(s) of entry set forth in these rules. Employees of Legion M Entertainment, Inc. (“Sponsor”) or its affiliated companies are not eligible to participate.
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST.
Meetup hosts or attendees can submit one entry for each official Legion M theatrical meetup with more than eight attendees. The contest begins at 9 a.m. EST on Thursday, May 9, and all entries must be received by 12:00 p.m. PST on Sunday May 19, 2019.
Meetup hosts and/or attendees will enter their meetup in the drawing by taking a photograph of all meetup attendees as described in the Criteria below, and then enter by using any of the following methods:
a) post photograph of yourself with your theatrical meetup attendees on Twitter.com, and tag @LegionMOfficial with #TolkienMeetups and indicate which meetup you hosted;
b) post photograph of yourself with your theatrical meetup attendees on Legion M’s Members Only Facebook Group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/iamlegionm/ referencing which theatrical meetup you hosted; or
c) send photo of yourself with your theatrical meetup attendees to Team@Legionm.com and write “Tolkien Meetup Contest” and which meetup you hosted in the subject line.
Follow all instructions to complete your entry for whichever method of entry you choose. Incomplete entries may be disqualified. Submitting more than one entry method does not increase your chances to win.
Photograph must be a gathered group of people posing for a photograph; a photograph of people sitting in their seats in a theatre is not a valid entry. Legion M is the sole determiner of attendee count and will use each photograph and list of Meetup signups to accurately determine guest count.
Each meetup will receive one drawing entry for each person who attends the meetup. Meetup attendance will be determined based on the following criteria (“Criteria”): the number of people who attended the theatrical meetup, as substantiated by a combination of meetup RSVPs through Legion M’s Meetup Maker and the number of attendees in the submitted photograph.
All eligible meetup entries will be entered into a drawing and a Winning Meetup will be drawn at random from the pool of eligible entries. The host of the Winning Meetup and one randomly selected attendee will be declared the Winners of a Grand Prize. A Secondary Prize will be awarded to all attendees of the Winning Meetup.
Grand Prize includes: two (2) tickets to a future feature film premiere in a city of Legion M’s choice, two (2) nights’ hotel accommodations, and up to $500 in cash to be used as airfare credit for travel. The total prize package is valued at $1,200.00. Winners agree that they will assume and pay for any taxes incurred as a result of winning the prize. The prize is provided by Legion M Entertainment, Inc. (“Sponsor”).
Secondary Prize includes: two (2) tickets to a movie; and $30 worth of Legion M gift shares. Winners of the Secondary Prize will be determined and substantiated by a sign-in sheet as turned in by the meetup host. Winners agree that they will assume and pay for any taxes incurred as a result of winning the prize. The prize is provided by Legion M Entertainment, Inc. (“Sponsor”).
The Winners will be notified on or about May 20, 2019. Winners must respond to prize notification within ten (10) days. If a winner cannot be reached and/or does not respond to prize notification within ten days, an alternate winner will be selected by awarding the prize to the next randomly drawn name from all valid entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. Winners who cannot redeem the prize can either: a.) give the prize to someone else upon approval by Sponsor; or b.) forfeit the prize.
Winners must be existing Legion M members or join the community to be eligible to win and claim their Prize.
Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winners. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.
This contest is in no way sponsored or administered by Twitter or Facebook, and entrant forever releases and agrees to indemnify and hold Twitter, Facebook and Sponsor from any claim for damage, injury, liabilities, costs, and/or expenses whether known or unknown, arising out of or resulting from, or incurred as result of, entering or winning Sponsor contest.
Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names, likenesses, and photographs for broadcast, online posting, and/or any in any other media, including for advertising and publicity purposes, without compensation.
For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope no later than one year following the end of the entry period with your specific request to: Legion M Entertainment, Inc., 1801 Century Park East, 24th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90067.
Twitter, Facebook and Sponsor are not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner(s) or other contest information by Facebook, Twitter, Sponsor or entrants for any reason whatsoever. Facebook, Twitter and Sponsor are also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the contest or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entry materials may be maintained as part of Sponsor’s giveaway records. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest if it becomes technically or otherwise corrupted.
This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law, including without limitation, in jurisdictions requiring registration, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these rules. Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, offering, or administration of the giveaway, or in the announcement of the prize. In the event of a dispute over who submitted a particular entry, Sponsor will determine the entrant’s identity or select an alternate winner in its sole discretion.
By entering, participants represent that they are eligible, and agree a.) to be bound by these rules and by the decisions of the sponsor, and b.) to release Twitter, Facebook, Sponsor, and their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize.
